WLAX: Liberty was the better coached team today


Congrats to Liberty for getting their first win against Tech. They outscored Tech 6-1 in the final 16 minutes. Offensively, Liberty was more organized. An evenly matched contest, but turnovers hurt Tech more than they hurt Liberty. A few yellow cards didn't help either. Liberty's Ferguson was the difference in draw controls, especially the one in OT. Tech plays at Louisville on Saturday. That could be for 8th or 9th place. Tech plays at Pitt a week later. The ACC schedule wasn't favorable to Tech since they'll be playing the two weaker ACC teams on the road. Liberty has been progressively improving every year. Looks like Tech's days of dominating them are over.
